To the person asking about IGG for dermatomyocitis: I am currently in the hospital being treated for dermatomyocitis with Immune Gamma Goulin. I have been on methatrexate, sulphsalazine and steroids for a year and within three days of IGG I went from paralysis, inability to swallo, breathe or speak to walking, talking, breathing and swallowing. The treatment takes about three hours and is administered by IV. I recieved three initial treatments over a three day period and will continue to recieve two days of treatment every month on an outpatient basis. I strongly recomend it. I have been pain free for three weeks. PAIN FREE.
